Tallyna is an Egyptian brand for contemporary designs that are hand embroidered with tally threads. All of our designs are inspired by the heritage of Upper Egypt.
Our Aim Is to revive this valuable legacy and to raise the awareness of the importance of our intangible and cultural heritage. We are constantly working on preserving, modernizing and making our heritage a real pride, for women and men, looking for style and cherishing their identity.

Since we launched tallyna in 2021, we thrive on talented artisan ladies from Shandaweel Island, in Sohag, who inherited the art of tally embroidery from older generations and continue to pass it to younger ones. Our designs showcase their innate talents and the outstanding quality of their artwork.

Our concept is to proudly introduce Egyptian contemporary and comfortable tally designs. For three years, we’ve been refining the skills of the artisans, providing a sustainable and decent living for them, and taking tally to new grounds by using premium fabrics, such as pure linen, cotton, shantung silk and wool, hand loomed in Akhmim. The outcome is statement pieces, reflecting the passion we have for tally and today’s fashion styles
